How it Works

This is a brief explanation of our basic processes involved with CO2 Laser cutting & engraving.

Please remember that a CO2 Laser is the best way to gain a very fine level of cutting on a wide variety of materials but it can not cut metals and other hardened materials. These materials can be Laser engraved though!

1st  Preparing your Artwork from file

You send us your artwork in the form of a CAD file. We check to see if it is suitable for the Laser and the material you have chosen to use. (It is best if the file sent is in dxf)

2nd  Configuring the Laser to the setting for your chosen material

We configure the machine to cut from the artwork supplied. As a standard, we use Red lines to Laser Cut, Green lines to Raster Engrave and Black to Vector Engrave/Cut. We adjust the Power, Speed and Frequency to suit the specific material that has been chosen. The maximum sheet size we can cut is 1300x900mm. This means we can cut a single large component or get a lot out of one sheet.

3rd  Running the Job

The Laser will follow the file that has been uploaded and to the directives it has been given, creating the finished components required for you.

It doesn’t just finish there! We also always take the greatest of care in packaging our clients items so they arrive is as perfect condition as when they came off the Laser.

We also have our own Transportation and great links to national carriage networks, so whether you are based close by in Leicester or the Midlands or further afield, like Lands end or John O’Groats, we have got you covered!
